Top 10 Sexiest Woman on Twitter

#10 Lily Allen

Brit-pop princess and original queen of MySpace Lily Allen has her own quirky sense of style. She's not your typical princess of beauty, but her unique style and personality pushes her right into the top ten. A dotted Moonshine bikini would be a great match for her body type. She often responds to rumors through her new twitter account @lilyroseallen.

#9 Tila Tequila

If you've seen this MySpace celebrity's reality show or music videos, you know shyness isn't one of her qualities. A Victoria's Secret Sequin floral bikini would be great for showing off her sexy assets. @officialTilaer is her personal twitter account where she says she reads and replies to all messages sent to her.

#8 DJ Tamara Sky

Possibly the hottest DJ on the planet...literally. Tamara Sky has been Miss Puerto Rico Bikini and was even on the cover of the Mexican edition of Playboy. A Vix Jen bikini that Sarah Michelle Gellar was seen wearing would have this goddess of turntables turning heads. Follow her tweets here: @TamaraSky.

#7 Brooke Burke
Recently, Brooke Burke won the 7th season of Dancing With The Stars and started her own online maternity store. It's possible her days of posing for Playboy, FHM, and Maxim are behind her, but that doesn't mean she'd ignore a comfy cotton Victoria's Secret ribbon-trim triangle top bikini. As a modern mum she actively tweets on @brookeburke.

#6 Audrey Kitching

Alternative model Audrey Kitching claims she's "changing the beauty standards one day at a time" with her clothing line at Hot Topic. We don't know if she'd try on a pink & yellow Bubble Gum bikini, but it'd definitely match her her style. Her real twitter is: @RealAudreyKitch.

#5 Ashanti

When the "Princess of R&B" isn't making seductive songs with her boyfriend rapper Nelly, she's tearing up the runway as a model for charity. Who wouldn't want see a music video with her in the Two Tone from J Valentine? Read her tweets on: @AshantiD.

#4 Taylor Swift

The New York Times described Swift as "one of pop's finest songwriters" while we would describe 19-year old country star Taylor Swift as one of the finest girls on twitter. @taylorswift13 is her official twitter. We'd like to see her sport a saucy sequin silver bikini to add some spice to her innocent beauty.

#3 Jessica Alba

A Maya Signature bikini, or just about any other type of swimwear she's been seen in, looks amazing on this Hollywood actress. Dubbed "Sexiest Woman in the World" by FHM in 2007, it's safe to say she's the sole reason Fantastic Four had a sequel. Read her daily tweets here: @RealJessicaAlba.

#2 Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere may wear a cheerleader outfit on the TV show "Heroes," but we all know a Vix Ju bikini she's been seen wearing would be a better fit. It's too bad those Neutrogena commercials only show her beautiful smile. See her twitter on: @hpanettiere, although she's not been much of a tweeter so far.

Update: We're now less sure this account is genuine which could disqualify Hayden from our top 50 list.

#1 Adriana Lima

The number one woman on our list, is perhaps the most obvious. If you've seen a Victoria's Secret or Maybelline commercial, then you know Brazilian model Adriana Lima would look stunning in a Victoria's Secret ruffled triangle bikini. Catch her tweets here: @angeladriana.

We couldn't help but give Adriana Lima the top spot when her Twitter profile features such a hot shot of her in a bikini:
adriana-lima-bikini

Her tweets come in a mixture of Spanish and English, although most are in English. Adriana is not the most active tweeter but she does post her latest pics and videos regularly. She currently only follows 12 people, one of which is another hot Brazilian model, Alessandra Ambrosio (@aleambrosio), and she also posts hot pictures of herself regularly. Many of you might be saying that Alessandra should have also been in our top 50, you'd probably be right but with the many thousands of hot girls on twitter we couldn't fit them all on!

Furnishings to Transform Your Space (Transform Furniture)

It’s hard to avoid mentioning the state of the economy these days, but why not make the best of it? Most of us have been downsizing our ways of spending in many different ways, and sometimes our living space can suffer. Here are 15 unique pieces of furniture that will help you upgrade and streamline the place you call home.

Back to Basics

Simplicity. The cube has been a great inspiration to space-saving living and the CUB8 is a classic example of this concept. It’s a clean, extendable coffee table with vast space. It even comes equipped with an integrated CD/DVD hanger. The SelfService furniture unit is an easy way to wine and dine in any small space. It accommodates four comfortably and the low seats slide right back into the table when the night is over.

Compact Dreamland

Studio apartment getting you down? The BedUP bed and the LiftBed will allow you to lift your bed (either manually or electronically) to transform your space, and can save about 12 square feet. You don’t have to lower it completely, so you can keep your other furniture in place neatly underneath. Now, if only they installed the Lollipop bunk bed system in dorms! This amazing bunk bed can be hidden into the wall or you can opt to leave one unfolded to pull double duty as a couch.

Let’s Go Couchsurfing

So you have company over, but need some options for extra sleeping space? Look no further than these couchsurfing alternatives. The Tent Sofa creates privacy with folding panels once transformed into a bed. Stay At My Home is an all in one package that allows you to provide a simple, comfortable sleeping option for your guest with a mattress, removable drawer, pillow, bedside lamp and carpet. This all fits in and around the side table pictured. Inflatable mattresses are so passé. Get an inflatable sofa instead. The Blofield Inflatable Chesterfields Sofa is constructed from the same material used in life rafts, which says something about its durability. You can use it as a permanent fixture in your place, or simply blow it up in less than five minutes for an overnight guest… or take it floating?

No Musical Chairs Here

The Cabinet Chair by Ontwerpers is quite crafty. Reminiscent of my school days, this chair is imbedded into the surrounding shelf. It even has a built in monitor and keyboard. A wonderful, eyecatching table set that doubles as a light, the Corral Table and Bronco Stool comes with 7 seats that fit snugly into the table’s design. Going along with that theme is the Monolith steel table that transforms into a sleek sculpture when not in use. I wonder how heavy it is? And since entertaining guests outdoors with little space can be challenging, especially in a city setting, Dedon has designed a few sets of amazing stackable outdoor furniture. They don’t stack like any other chairs, but into the form of spheres and obelisks instead.

The Holy Grail of Transforming

This is by far the holy grail of space-saving goodness. The Kenchikukagu is a set of mobile furniture that includes a fully functioning kitchen. Take a peep at the video clip below and behold the pieces in action. The set also includes a mobile guest room and work space with lighting. These are not concept designs, and are available at Amazon Japan for JPY 800,000 (about $7,346).

Indoor Sport

Want more fun and adventure in your 400 square foot space? Look no further than The Hanger and Ping Pong Door. You need to hang your jackets somewhere, but you’re tired of the coat rack; hang them on a miniature indoor rock climbing gym. Upgrade your Scrabble night to Ping Pong night with the Ping Pong Table designed by Tobias Fränzel. Flip the panel down to create instant fun, with equally easy cleanup when you’re done!

Small spaces are often associated with a lack of functionality and flexibility to live how you’d like. With these innovative examples of furniture and accessories for your home, you can soon turn your cozy space into a paradise, no matter what the square footage.

8 Ways to Prepare For the 2012 Apocalypse

In case you haven’t heard, the year 2012 has been predicted to be a game changing year for our planet. The Mayan calendar does not go past the year 2012, leading plenty of logical people to believe that the end of civilization is right around the corner. Although there will be some vindication for crazy folk who rant all day about the apocalypse, the vast majority of humans are generally bummed out about this horrible prediction.

So is this the real deal apocalypse or just another Y2K?

I’m not Mayan, so I can’t say for sure, however, the government is certainly spending money like there is no tomorrow.

Here are some tips that the average person can use to prepare for the 2012 Apocalypse:

Step 1: STOP SAVING FOR RETIREMENT!
Instead of making your 401K provider rich so they can live it up over the next two years, just stop contributing now. Take that “found” money and invest in activities and products that you once thought were foolish. For example, you could take off work some random Tuesday, enjoy a few whiskey sours, take the bus to the mall and have some fun. Buy that new mp3 player, chase the teenagers at the mall with a cool new Nerf product all while wearing a funny novelty t-shirt under your Snuggie? The Chinese make this stuff for our enjoyment. It would be rude and offensive to their culture if we did not splurge.

Step 2: QUIT SAVING FOR YOUR KID’S COLLEGE TUITION
Again, the logic is fairly obvious. If your child is currently in college or will be attending over the next two years, you should still pay tuition. Why deprive your child of a 4 year party if you don’t have to? Just make sure your bundle of joy doesn’t stress about grades and classroom attendance. If your offspring is not college age, drain that 529 account and reenact the scene from The Toy.

Step 3: QUIT BITING YOUR TONGUE
Time is limited so don’t hold anything back. Let people know that they are rude when they stand in line and make you listen in on their cell phone conversation. Leave a nasty message for your state representative. Tell a teenager to pull up his pants and tie his shoes. Flip off drivers that pass in the right lane or have an excessive amount of tint.

Step 4: DON’T GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY
Tell the sales representative that your recent purchase is going to burst into flames due to a solar blast in two years, and you can’t justify the additional expense. (remember you’ve got Snuggies to buy) If that does not get them to quit their sales pitch, mention that you are simply buying the item to stimulate the economy and you plan on taking a sledgehammer to the product once you get home. Since you cannot take a sledgehammer to a warranty, you would rather pass on their enticing offer.

Step 5: SIN, REPENT, REPEAT
Think of the year 2011 as the “day before you go on a diet.” This is the year that you super size that value meal, let it all ride on red, curse like a sailor, and lie your butt off. Throw in a few confessions to play it safe and repeat.

Step 6: STOP USING Twitter AND Facebook
Again, time is precious and as much as you want to believe it, nobody gives a rat’s tail that you are, “Excited for the upcoming long weekend” or that you are “totally stoked 2 c avatar 2nite.” Also, when your local VCR repair company and Buick Dealership asks you to follow them on Twitter and Facebook, it’s just not cool.

Step 7: DON’T BUY FROM ANY COMPANY THAT SAY’S THEY ARE GOING GREEN

If the earth’s axis is going to be upside down in two years, why would you care about your carbon footprint today? As Flavor Flav once said, “Don’t believe the hype.” When most companies say this, they really mean that they are going after the green in your wallet. The grocery stores are a great example of how I went green and felt dumb. They have managed to get us to buy grocery bags (something that they give away for free) while simultaneously convincing us that we are both saving the earth. These marketing clowns would promote clubbing baby seals if they thought it was en vogue.

Step 8: DO NOT PREPARE A SURVIVAL SHELTER
You need to ask yourself a question. Would you rather be evaporated in a nanosecond or stuck in some smelly underground shelter listening to the remaining survivors say, “I wonder what’s going on up there?” Even if you made it and emerged, would you really want to be around to see all that carnage and draw straws to see which survivor is dinner? It’s better to go fast and move on to the after party in heaven. Or hell, if you took things a little too far in 2011.

Strongest Creature

You're probably thinking the strongest creature on earth is only a bug that fits in the palm of your hand? What about the largest living land mammal? You'd think something as massive as an elephant would be able to carry way more weight than a little insect. Yes, it's true. An elephant can carry a lot more weight than a rhinoceros beetle, but the definition of strength we're using here is one of proportional strength. A huge African elephant can only carry up to 25% of its own weight on its back. The rhinoceros beetle can carry 850 times its own weight. There's NO CONTEST. That would be like an elephant carrying 850 elephants on its back.

What is That Horn For?
The rhinoceros beetle is aptly named because it has horns on its head, very much like the rhinoceros does. Scientists believe that the beetle has become so strong to be able to forage through heavy litter on the jungle floor and dig its way to safety. Using its horns it can dig its way out of a sticky situation by burying itself underground, escaping danger.

Some Fascinating Facts about Rhinoceros Beetles

Picture of rhinoceros beetle"Adult rhino beetles eat rotting fruit and sap; in spite of their size, they don't eat very much. The larvae, on the other hand, eat a great deal of rotting wood or the compost in which they live. In spite of their fierce appearance, they are all totally harmless: they cannot bite or sting or hurt you with their horns.

Rhino beetles have three instars, that is, they go through three molts before changing into the pupal stage. It is not possible to say what the average life span is because the name rhino beetle refers to about 300 different species of scarab beetles; some live in tropical countries and some live in North America, and so the length of their lives varies a lot.

Rhino beetles could be considered helpful because they are important in recycling plant material back into the ecosystem. On only a few rare occasions has a species reached pest proportions, and this has usually happened in sugar cane fields or palm plantations that have been recently carved out of the jungle. In this case, humans have entered the home habitat of the beetles and upset the balance of things. You might also consider rhino beetles to be extremely beneficial because of aesthetics: they are all so beautiful.

The best protection they have from predators is their usually large size combined with their activity being at night. During the day, they are hiding under logs or in vegetation and invisible from the few predators big enough to want to eat them. Surprisingly, the horn of the male is not used for protection but rather for the occasional battle with another male over a feeding site. The victorious male with the feeding site can then often attract a mate; the females have no horns. It's sorta like the guy in the school lunchroom with the best lunch can attract the prettiest girl; she does not really care what you look like but is more interested in your food. This is some very basic biology for many vertebrate animals (including humans): males having the most resources are often the ones chosen by females. These resources can take many forms: food, territory, ability to care for young, or brains; big antlers, large horns, or being handsome usually rate second.

Embarrassing Moments in Sports

That's where all the cheers come from!

Is this even legal in this sport?

This photo of Le Pennec taken on vault at the 2005 World Championships and published by Getty Images was the subject of controversy. The photo appears to depict Le Pennec having an episode of incontinence in the middle of her vault. However, the image captured in the picture is inconclusive, the incident has never been substantiated by any reliable source, other photographs, video footage or eyewitness accounts, and neither Le Pennec nor the French Federation have commented on the matter. Nonetheless, the photo has appeared on various Internet sites and in a British tabloid magazine. (Link)

Top 10 Geological Wonders You Didn’t Know

1. The Wave (between Arizona and Utah - USA)

A red-rock stunner on the border of Arizona and Utah, The Wave is made of 190-million-year-old sand dunes that have turned to rock. This little-known formation is accessible only on foot via a three-mile hike and highly regulated.

2. Antelope Canyon (Arizona - USA)

The most visited and photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest, the Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. It includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon --or “The Crack”-- and Lower Antelope Canyon --or “The Corkscrew.”

The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tse' bighanilini, which means "the place where water runs through rocks." Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdestwazi, or "spiral rock arches." Both are located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation.

3. Great Blue Hole (Belize)

Part of the Lighthouse Reef System, The Great Blue Hole lies approximately 60 miles off the mainland out of Belize City. A large, almost perfectly circular hole approximately one quarter of a mile (0.4 km) across, it’s one of the most astounding dive sites to be found anywhere on earth. Inside this hole, the water is 480 feet (145 m) deep and it is the depth of water which gives the deep blue color that causes such structures throughout the world to be known as "blue holes."

4. Crystal Cave of the Giants (Mexico)
Found deep inside a mine in southern Chihuahua Mexico, these crystals were formed in a natural cave totally enclosed in bedrock. A geode full of spectacular crystals as tall as pine trees, and in some cases greater in circumference, they are a translucent gold and silver in color and come in many incredible forms and shapes. The Crystal Cave of the Giants was discovered within the same limestone body that hosts the silver-zinc-lead ore bodies exploited by the mine and it was probably dissolved by the same hydrothermal fluids that deposited the metals with the gypsum being crystallized during the waning stages of mineralization.

5. Eye of the Sahara (Mauritania)
This spectacular landform in Mauritania in the southwestern part of the Sahara desert is so huge with a diameter of 30 miles that it is visible from space. Called Richat Structure --or the Eye of the Sahara-- the The formation was originally thought to be caused by a meteorite impact but now geologists believe it is a product of uplift and erosion. The cause of its circular shape is still a mystery.

6. Blue Lake Cave (Brazil)
Mato Grosso do Sul region in Brazil (and especially the quiet town of Bonito) boasts many marvelous underground lakes: Gruta do Lago Azul, Gruta do Mimoso, Aquário Natural. The world famous "Gruta do Lago Azul” (Blue Lake Cave) is a natural monument whose interior is formed by stalactites, stalagmites and a huge and wonderful blue lake. The beauty of the lake is something impressive. The Blue Lake Cave has a big variety of geological formation but impresses mainly for the deep blue colored water of its inside lake.

7. Giants Causeway (Ireland)

An area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the Giants Causeway is a result of an ancient volcanic eruption. Located on the north-east coast of Northern Ireland, most of its columns are hexagonal, although there are also some with four, five, seven and eight sides. The tallest are about 12 meters (36 ft) high, and the solidified lava in the cliffs is 28 meters thick in places. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, the causeway was named as the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom.

8. Hell Gate (Uzbekistan)
Called by locals The Door to Hell, this place in Uzbekistan is situated near the small town of Darvaz. When geologists were drilling for gas, 35 years ago, they suddenly found an underground cavern that was so big, all the drilling site with all the equipment and camps got deep deep under the ground. None dared to go down there because the cavern was filled with gas, so they ignited it so that no poisonous gas could come out of the hole, and since then, it has been burning. Nobody knows how many tons of excellent gas has been burned for all those years but it just seems to be infinite.

9. Wave Rock (Australia)
The Wave Rock is a natural rock formation located in western Australia. It derives its name from the fact that it is shaped like a tall breaking ocean wave. The total outcrop covers several hectares; the "wave" part of the rock is about 15 meters high and approximately 110 meters long. One aspect of Wave Rock rarely shown on photographs is the retaining wall about halfway up the rock. This follows the contours and allows rainwater to be collected in a dam. It was constructed in 1951 by the Public Works Department, and such walls are common on many similar rocks in the wheatbelt.

10. Chocolate Hills (Philippines)
Composed of around 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills of about the same size spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi), this highly unusual geological formation, called Chocolate Hills, is located in Bohol, Philippines. There are a number of hypotheses regarding the formation of the hills. These include simple limestone weathering, sub-oceanic volcanism, the uplift of the seafloor and a more recent theory which maintains that as an ancient active volcano self-destructed, it spewed huge blocks of stone which were then covered with limestone and later thrust forth from the ocean bed.
